Letter From Our President

Caroline Fenton

Welcome to the Delta Omega chapter of Delta Delta Delta at Louisiana State University. My name is Caroline Fenton and I currently serve as the Chapter President. I am so honored and proud to represent this group of nearly 350 women from near and far.

As a native of St. Louis, Missouri, I didn’t know a soul at LSU and not a soul knew me when I first stepped foot among the stately oaks and broad magnolias. I decided to go through recruitment to make this huge campus feel a little bit smaller. I found my home at Tri Delta, a place where nobody is a stranger and each member is challenged to become the greatest versions of themselves. After all, we don’t want you to come to Tri Delta and be like us; we want you to come to Tri Delta and be like you!

Tri Delta prides herself on having a philanthropic partner with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Our chapter is fortunate to work more closely with the associate hospital in Baton Rouge in addition to visiting the main hospital in Memphis,Tennessee each year. We have various events throughout the year such as Delta Desserts, DHOP, and Sincerely Yours to raise money for St. Jude. Last year, Delta Omega raised nearly $200,000 for childhood cancer research. This year, we hope to raise even more to ensure that, as St. Jude founder Danny Thomas said, “no child dies in the dawn of life.”

Tri Delta is committed to academic excellence, philanthropic efforts, and holding each member accountable for their potential success. Each and every single day since I first wore three triangles across my chest I have learned valuable lessons, grown more than I could have ever imagined, and have met some pretty extraordinary women to stand beside me in the process. This organization holds such a special place in my heart, and I am eager to see what this year of leading and learning has in store for our chapter.

We hope to see you soon at the third house on the left and Geaux Tigers!

Delta Love and Mine,

Caroline Fenton
